Today was my first coming back from the beach. Can't say I was running totally naked with the safari top, but I was thankful. It was surprising at how wet we didn't get. Only time rain really came in was when we had to stop. I'm only running half carpet now, but pulled it all tonight to dry out. I'm really looking forward to having my jeep lined now.
was at school last year in march about a week before last day, so skipped 2nd, went to take off my top and doors, went back to school, after school half the school was driving around we were 15-20 cars, then it strted pooring.. thankfuly my gf at the time had a white shirt on so after about 15min we gave up jetted home, i was too lazy and wasnt in the mood to put top on, worst mistake i ever made.. lets just say i had 2 pairs of extra pants in my bag everyday for 2weeks... was a cold 2 weeks..
1 Toyota Yarris less on your roads Thanks to me I didnt even feel him hitting me but once i saw him slowly being eating by my JEEP i got pissed he scratched my bumper and wheel.
Sometime in late July of this year, me and a friend had the top down and the doors off and about 20min. away from home the clouds open up and a replica Flood of Noahs Ark came through. Thankfully i had the top "stuffed" behind the back seat, but it was raining so hard we had a lot of trouble getting everything up with the golf ball size rain drops falling. Then we just took our shirts off and covered the dash.
Earlier this summer (first summer with the Jeep ). My girlfriend spent the night with me on the houseboat and after a late night I woke up to the sound of rain on the tin roof of the dock, a sound I always loved to wake up with. My mind started to wander to the Jeep as I decided to sleep in and then it hit me, Bikini top with no doors. Decided whats done is done and let her sleep late. Drove home, pulled the carpet and let it dry in the sun, good as new.
One must learn by doing the thing; though you think you know it; you can't be certain until you try.
So many times i have stopped running to put the top on every time it looks like rain... I just don't care anymore... it's south florida, it's lined, with the drain plugs out, and neoprene seats, and center console holds everything that I don't want wet. So, it's all good! That's what a Jeep is made for, and I don't mind much getting soaked to the skin. The worst was the other day though. I had the top on, but all windows out (like I usually run it... actually it's been that way basically since I bought it 5 months ago. I keep the full top not the bikini because it's cooler for my dog in the back seat) anyway... I was in school and it started POURING! So bad that the admin stopped movement to all classes and let us out early, when I got to the Jeep, my feet were under water driving home and my ass was soaked, my seats were soaked and on the way home it started pouring again! when I got home, water poured out of the door when I opened it in the driveway because my driver's side floorboard is a do-it-myself replacement due to rusting through nd has no drain holes! I drilled holes when the rain stopped
