Where did you get your exhaust system?

So im thinking about getting a catback set up. So far i like the flowmaster s40.
I would like that deep throaty sound but dont want to sound like a 69 chevelle.
Where did ya end up picking yours up at?

Jegs is where I bought my flowmaster offroad 44 muffler and the exhaust place just made up the rest with 2.5" all the way back. Muffler was like 80 I believe.

+1

I've got it, and I'd love to get rid of it. Go w/ a different muffler and save yourself the disappointment. It has nothing near a muscle car sound. Sounds much more like a Miata than a Mustang.

is there a specific magnaflow model that i would get a better throaty noise from?
I was worried about when i have it at high rpms what it would sound like.
at 2500 it sounds like im redlining since i have 373's right now.

I got a Gibson from 4WD Hardware when I install my long arm last fall and I love the way it sounds. It has a deep throaty sound at idle and at low rpm's but isn't loud on the road. I would recommend it.

When I bought my Jeep the guy gave me a brand new Cherrybomb muffler to put on. After I put it on, I drove it for two miles, turned around and took it off....sounded like hell was coming! This was before I replaced my cat, so that may have something to do with it.

Check out JP magazine's website. they just did a wrangler exhaust segment, complete with audio/video of each exhaust. i personally went with the banks ram air, torque tubes and then the banks monster cat-back exhaust. it sounds decent. unfortunatley its only a 4 or 6 cylinder motor that we are putting an exhaust on, so it wont ever sound like a v8 on a flowmaster.
