Where does this wire go too...

I was trouble shooting my 06 rubi's rear wiper motor and i found this wire behind the dash, near the fuse box. do you guys know where it goes? its dark green and has a brown stripe with a thin spade connector.

Well the crimp on spade connector and heat shrink is not factory.

But....It goes to any extra powered device you want. If you dig around a bit more you will find another wire near there (usually tucked behind the fuse box or just to the upper right of it).

Jeep has these in all TJ's. One is a constant power and the other is a ignition power. They are for anything you want to add to the jeep and wire in. Most don't know about the two wires there.

as for the rear wiper issue you have....what have you done so far?
Check for power at the rear?
Check the switch for good connection?

I checked the power leads that meet to the hardtop and the only power i am getting is to the defoster... i checked the fuse and its fine, took apart the switch and nothing looks burned or worn. need the wiring diagram to see if the switch is getting power..... Im i missing anything?

thats your wiper motor hot lead, put it inspot #6behind your glove box wiper will work..

Wiring diagram

Yahoo! Phillil posted on this site anyone needing a wiring diagram if you email with year asd series he will send it when he has time. He sent me 40 pages for my 2005 when I bought a hard top for it. I had it in about 4 days.phillip.chauvaux@yahoo.com
