I had mine on my stock rear bumper but it got filthy and was a maintenance nightmare so I bought some clamps and moved it to the front brush guard. Hated looking at it all the time but it stayed fairly clean. so when i had my rear swing out bumper made i had a plate welded on to mount it to the swing section. I also bought a neoprene cover for it that keeps all the trail dirt off. works great now. only option for me.

Had mine mounted to my roll bar. Heres a quick write up on what I used..
Materials used: 2- 2 3/8 chainlink tension...

Never used it in the two years that I had it and it was always in the way when I needed in the back. So I gave it to a buddy of mine and now it resides here...

Me too, I keep mine in the barn, and only carry it when dragging the trailer. When and if we do carry it, it goes up top on the excursion racks. easy to reach, and it stays out of the grit.. Having said that, I've only had to use it once on the trail, rear shackle on trailer spring broke, so lifted up trailer, and ratchet strapped the wayward spring pack till we got to a welder..

The rear bumper. You can use it for lots of fun things, like holding the bottom of your siders up and tight to the inside edge of the sides while you tack weld, for instance.
