Where to buy 4 cyl. replacement engine, '98 Wrangler

Would anyone have any suggestions on where to buy a replacement engine, 4 cylinder, for a 98 Wrangler?

I have ordered one through 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, but it is backordered through their vendor until the end of the month. I've also talked to Quadratec, but they are unhelpful as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Craigslist or a local junk yard! Or if you want new try jasper! Or it could be the perfect time to do a 5.9 magnum swap for a little more money.

Why not contact a local machine shop and ask them about rebuilding yours? Unless a rod punched a hole in your block, I expect you could have your engine rebuilt for less than the cost of a new (reman) engine.

i just replaced my 4 cylinder in my '99 with a jasper engine. its a rebuilt engine, you order the new one and send the blown one. it comes with a 100,000 mile 3 year warranty. you can only get them through a dealer, my mechanic does lots of business with them. after everything done it cost me $2000 for the motor.

I had about 1200.00 into my 5.9 swap. Can't believe how much they want for a 4 cylinder! I could never bring myself to spend that kind of jack on a 4 banger.
