Which kit is more ideal for me to run on my 05X with LT285/75R16 (33's).

Rough Country - 3.25" Suspension Kit, Progressive Spring Kit. Jeep TJ Suspension Lift

or

Rough Country - 3.75" Combo Kit, 2.5" Susp. / 1.25" Body
Jeep TJ Suspension Lift

Personally I would go the route of the shorter suspension lift and then put in the small body lift so you can then install the MML and eliminate drive line problems and some other issues. A lot depends on what you intend to do with your Jeep. I have not heard a whole lot of really good feed back on Rough Country either. OME makes a very nice 2 inch lift kit.

2 inch body lift clears 33's...
Yes it clears 33" tires... when the Jeep is sitting still and not driving over bumps, dips, or going offroding. 2" of added clearance is not enough for 33" tires. Period. The minimum recommended added clearance for 33" tires on a street Jeep is 3" or 4" for one that sees much offroad time.

The only people who think 2" of added clearance is enough for 33" are inexperienced newbies.

Body lifts do not look good. You hit the nail on the head...driving over bumps, dips and offroading.

Would of been wise to make a new thread for that subject. Posting a question unrelated to the topic of this thread will not likely get you an answer here. Not that anyone was ignoring you, just no one was reading this thread :p

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
