1 42 willys cj2a ( my dad and i built it when i was 9. its how i learned how to drive stick)
1 2004 tj beat the piss out of it then traded it in for a truck.i
moved to Alaska and owned 6 Cherokees at the same time. one was a wheeler one was a dd and the rest ran but i ended up using them as parts most the time. most i paid for any of them a 1000 bucks. the best deal of the 6 was i went to buy some snow tires for 200 bucks and the guy had them in the back of 92 Cherokee 4 door. told me if i would get it out of his yard i could have the title. new battery and alternator later i had a jeep that i ended up putting 50k miles on and never had to repair anything. after that i went jeepless for awhile. ( i was in the middle east for a year) got back and ended up with a cj 5 which was awesome except for being a rust bucket. ill never buy a pre galvanized jeep again.
in the middle of there i owned a random yj. wasnt a fan. drove a cj7 for awhile but it was bone stock and never saw much dirt with it. took my dads cj8 for a few weeks while i was jeepless. and my buddy went overseas and left me his LJ for 3 months. the lj is the perfect blend. if i could find a rubi with < 50 k and 6 speed stick i would snatch it up and never buy anything else. but i got my Jk and have yet to be disappointed and the interior space of the new style 2 door just blows me away. rember my last real jeep was a CJ5

LJ LJ LJ I havent driven it yet but I have one waiting in the background. Waiting for its build. PO wasnt nice to it, it had a fire, so it needs some things. But I can hardly wait for the day that we drive it out of the garage Done. The excitment and motivation are there but not the $$$. LJ all the way! Plus they look bad a$$ lifted!

TJ would be my choice with all other things being equal. I like short wheelbase jeeps. I don't need more room inside. "Your posessions will fill the space you provide them with". I like a tight turn radius and steep approach/departure angle.

LJ You have a hard top if wanted already (dual tops rock, but if you want a top the hard is more expensive usually to get than a soft), D44, wheels, and most importantly the flares/milk jugs don't need to be redone.
