Do you have the H4 kit in or is it all stock?

spend the extra cash and get a housing with a set of nice bulbs instead of a sealed beam. i have the delta housings with the xenon bulbs and it is worth the money.

Every "stock" light I tried on my 97 and my 2005 didn't make enough difference to feel safe on the road at night, including the sealed housing silverstars.

If you don't feel safe, get some H4 housings (I went with IPF E codes, they were ~$75 for both shipped) and some H4 bulbs. A regular or Silverstar H4 bulb and E code housings will be noticeably brighter than the factory sealed housings lamps our Jeeps use. I also went with the IPF Fatboy bulbs and they REALLY light the road, but they are pricey. Just get some H4 capsules (E codes are better, they put all the light below the trunk line of a car, as opposed to dispersing a lot upwards for no reason) and some cheap H4 bulbs and upgrade as money allows.

Your other option would be keep the factory sealed beams, and put a $40 set of Hella 500s (the new FF style) with some 100 watt bulbs and use that when no cars are around.
