for 35s and 4.56 you need the 37tooth

for 35s and 3.05s its a 24 tooth

mine was a short. just let the guy know your year of jeep when you buy them. or take your current one out. its 1 bolt and pull

Here ya go Nico. I went off this and checked my jeep with a Speed-gun after the install. Was right on.

R&P
/ Tire 38" 37" 36" 35" 33" 32" 31" 30"
5.13 38 39 40 41 43 45 46 48
4.88 36 37 38 39 41 43 44 46
4.56 34 35 36 37 39 40 42 43
4.11 31 32 33 34 36 37 38 40
3.73 27 28 28 29 31 32 33 34
To arrive at a correct Jeep part number add the tooth count for the speedometer gear to the end of 520676__. For a 26 tooth gear the correct part number is: 52067626.

In your case, 35" tires running 4.56's would net a 37 tooth speedo gear (part number 52067637)

What have others found is the best place to buy the gear? Should I just go to the local Jeep dealer?

Yeah, the two that I've replaced on my TJ came from the dealer. Should run you around $15 or so (don't remember exactly). Just call in advance and see if they have the proper toothed one in stock.

If nic is in Germany are the counts and size the same for Kilo Per Hour? as for MPH here in the US. it looks like his chart was in German.

yes my chart was in german, but it doesn´t matter if it´s mph or kph, the speedo gear should be the same for both.

The re-gearing should change the gear ratios. As long as the ratio is correct, it won't matter how the speed is measured.
