I paid $350 for my Warn 8274. Bought it used but you just can not kill these things.

Another Winch Question

one more question:

how much will my front springs sag if i put a 90 lbs winch on the front of my TJ?
i´ve the 2.5" OME HD front springs.
if it sagged p.e. 1" will then 1" spacers on the front springs fix that?

thanks in advance for your answers.

sorry to barge in here on the original subject. your profile is kinda confusing but if your actual location is in california you might want to try craigslist.com for your area. this is like a huge classfied site, you can usually find really good deals if you look. I have a few friends who run the mile markers on their rigs and they have got them out of I don't know how many holes. myself, Im going to go with the warn 9.5ti when I decide to winch up. there are so many good things about these winches, not including the warrenty you get along with it.
not to follow suite with everyone else but I do agree you get what you pay for and I sure as hell don't want to be left high and dry all night trying to figure a way to Mcguiver my way out.

I don't mind supporting the Aussies and buying one of their winches. I prefer people buy an American product. Milemarker is deliberately deceptive citing they supply the US Military, which is true only of their American made hydraulic winches. As has been stated, the electric MM like most electric winches is Chinese. We face threats each day from people hell bent on destroying our way of life, with our friends currently facing death each hour in a war zone for us, and yet people who wouldn't wheel anything but a Jeep can somehow justify slapping on a winch made by the most oppressive Communist regime in the world in order to save $150.

I am also looking into self recovery devises as ive been rescued one to many times.
I dont know if this helps your desition but just about every tow truck or auto recovery truck on the east coast is using Ramsey I know there all PTO driven does any one make a hydro. winch for wrangler size vehicles? also an all metal design is pretty important to me.
