Which windshield light mounts?

I just picked up a set of kc long range slim lights that I want to mount on the windshield hinge. I found two mounts one smittybilt and one kc. There is over a $10 difference in price but they look the same. I was just wondering for those of you that have either one how they have held up to the elements. I was just worried about the powder coating on the smittybilt flaking off. Anyhow here's a few links...

I used the KC mounts before i put my congo cage on. They didnt flake or discolor at all. Could even wax them if you wanted too as they were a slick surface. If the smittybuilt ones are a rough textures i would go with the KC ones. Just depends on the look you prefer.

All the brackets made from sheet metal vibrate on rough roads. These milled brackets do not vibrate:

I've tried 3 different windshield brackets and none of them have ever vibrated - Rugged Ridge, some modified Gen-right A-pillar armor and currently Warrior Products.
But I've got a nasty habit of over-tightening everything...

I'm interested in these Delta brackets though - I like how they are mounted lower than the 'above-the-hinge' brackets.
The pic in the link - the lights seem to be a fair way 'inboard'.
Can the hood still be rested back on the windshield or are the lights going to be in the way?

Ive got the cheaper smittybuilt. they work just fine for me, and I travel back roads all the time.. they are smooth, so just put the wax to them from time to time.

The Delta brackets allow the hood to be laid back. I have 4" diameter lights because I did not want the lights to stick out the sides.

The sheet metal brackets vibrate with large heavy lights. But if you are using smaller lighter lights they might be fime.
