Will mud stain my white soft top if I do not get it off right away? Just normal brown mud, not red or black.

I don't think I've ever seen a white soft top on a Jeep . . . I see the white hardtop in the pic . . . do you have a white soft top too? Regardless . . . yes mud will stain it . . . I have mud stains on my black soft top, so I can't see white being any different.

The white soft top came with the Sahara edition and I have both a soft and hard top for the Jeep. Time for a bath... just for the soft top though. Thanks for the quick replies.

Wow the soft top had some areas I really had to scrub to get the dirt spots off. It just does not look right to have a totally clean top and totally muddy Jeep. Maybe next time I go mudding I will have to put my hard top back on so the mud can stay there for awhile.

I've never seen a white soft top either doclouie. Just a thought maybe a little bleach on the stains ??? Then again might make it look worse. Do a test first.

The Jeep is a 2000 Sahara edition 101,000 miles with both tops, cruize, A/c, 31" tires, 2.25" BB and in perfect condition. The carpet looks brand new under the floor mats and there is a service record for everything since it was purchased. Best top seat covers and not a scratch on the body. I will never go back to owning anything but a jeep again. I am debating about a 4 door wrangler though so I can fit more people in it as there are six in my family.

You may run into serious obstacles if you ever need to replace that top - I don't think we're making any of them anymore. I know we don't make them aftermarket - we might still make replacements in white for Mopar, but I doubt it.

So if it adds to your resale value, you should treat it nicely. Maybe get a Bikini top for summer wheeling?

I installed the new Green top on my (black) TJ last night. Since it was quite dark (it was 23h00) I was not able to take pictures. This morning I realised it's not so bad: it's a dark green and it's the same colour as the seats so it is much better than I expected. Pics will follow.

Sorry I love my white hard top and my white soft top. They are not for sale. I do know a guy who has a white hardtop on his YJ around the corner. I do not know him, but you could go ask him.

Hmmmm, a white top with dark spots. I am imagining a whole pasture as far as the eye can see full of Dairy Cows. No, wait, no I see a dog sitting on a fire truck or, better yet sitting at the front of a large wagon full of beer.........

Sorry, Just had to have a bit of fun :wavey:

Well, after much thought and research on this topic, it seems I will attempt to paint it white myself. If any one has done this themselves, will you please tell me what prep u did to the top and what kind of mistakes to avoid, also what was your final product like? Were their paint streaks? And did it fade. Those are my only two worries! Thank u so much
