Only have a 15 mile round trip now. Used to drive 272 miles a day round trip 5 to 6 days a week for a year and a half but I had a Honda civic during that. As soon as my job moved closer to home I bought my jeep

I actually wanted a new Jeep a few years ago when I finished college, but since this was the first time gas was heading toward $4/gallon and I'd be driving 60 miles a day, I ended up in a Civic.

Now the commute is 40 miles a day, but next month it drops to 15. At that distance, I can finally make the Jeep my DD. The cost difference from 30ish MPG to 16ish is huge.

I don't drive my Jeep enough a day! I only drive roughly 8 miles round trip a day. I wish I could afford to drive it more. Thank the heavens for carpooling to and from work! I'd love to drive it to work and back, but the 80 miles round trip per day would kill my wallet.

You guys that are doing 100+ miles a day round trip, I envy you! Your companies don't happen to be hiring do they?

Ok I confess I will be ridding my Harley 35mpg on Mondays ,Wednesdays and Fridays ,unless its going to rain . Right now its been to cold in the morning for me . I cant take anything below 40 degress anymore. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I go mountain biking after work so I stuff my bike in my LJ.

So 17mpg on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 35 mpg on Mondays ,Wednesdays and Fridays weather permitting.

I might get a bit better than 35 on the Harley but not much. I know I could get a car with better MPG but who the heck wants to drive a car when youcan drive a Jeep and ride a Harley LOL.

BTW Krispy Kreme good. Me Likey.

I do about 78 miles a day, I live out in the country, drop my boys off @ school 16 miles away, then trek to work, then 42 miles home. 5 days a week in a 2.5 Tj with a 4" lift and 33"s.

Maybe 3-5 miles during the week. Maybe 30 miles on the weekends. My police car is my daily driver because I get to take it home. My jeep is just my weekend ride or when I need to go on a beer run!
