Who makes my front bumper??

I know it's an odd question, but, I just bought my Jeep and I'm trying to get pinned down exactly what modifications have already been made to it.

I searched for about an hour to no avail trying to figure out who makes my front bumper.

Couldn't tell you who makes that bumper; just wanted to say welcome to the forum.
Is that a real Rubicon? The flares look like non-Rubicon flares and there isn't a diamond plate rocker guard on it. Can't see in the photo if that's been removed though. Either way, it's a good looking Jeep you've got there!

I've never seen one quite like that. It kind of has a batmobile quality to its awesomeness. I'd be surprised if the manufacturer didn't stamp it somewhere.

Kinda looks like some type of modular bumper due to the seams.

But x2 on asking if thats a real Rubicon.

Jeep and the bumper look great! This may be coming out of left-field but it kind of has an ARB design to it. but it looks great though whoever made it

I've looked it has a ringwood jeeps steering box skid plate on it and a Rockstomper.com winch fairlead, but no manufacture listed anywhere on the bumper.

Yeah I love the bumper and the back bumper matches as well. I really want to put some bigger tires on her and some front tube fenders, but need patience.

It's not a real rubicon, the previous owner must have added the stickers. It doesn't look like it's ever had the rockers and the VIN comes up as a Sport.

Unfortunately I bought it from a dealer and not from the previous owner so there are a lot of things that I don't know. I just know it looks like he put a lot of love into it and I plan on putting even more.

You could find the previous owner through a carfax report and ask...i think.

No idea on the bumper either, but maybe see if the dealer can contact the previous owner to give you a list of what mods they've done. Maybe then you'll know who made it.

I thought I'd seen them all, but I've never seen that bumper either.

As far as the Rubicon stickers . . . my advice would be to remove them . . . won't fool most of your fellow Jeepers, but you just might fool the thieves that seem to target Rubicon models.

Schmo: Definitely agree, plus it's a great Jeep doesn't need to be pretending it's something that it's not. I have no idea why he decided to add the Rubicon stickers but then remove the Jeep fender stickers :P So I ordered new Jeep stickers and plan on removing the Rubicon ones. I'll have new pictures up in a few weeks.

The Jeep looks great regardless of whether or not it's a real Rubi. I would definitely pull a carfax to contact the previous owner and find out what's been done to it.

Looks like a great Jeep . . . congrats! There's plenty of non Rubi's that are built way beyond your average Rubi anyway . . . you know what you've got . . . probably better if the thieves don't!!! I've seen several guys that get creative and have custom decals made in place of the Rubicon sticker . . . always another option, if that spot looks naked after removing what's on there now.

Ohh yeah definitely. I'm taking steps to try and connect with the previous owner, I'll also let you know how that goes.

It almost looks like the front, back and sides all are from the same manufacture or all a really good custom job. The fact that it uses the rockstomper.com winch fairlead almost makes me wonder if it could be custom, it just looks too "involved" for a custom job.

Do you dive or is that diver-down sticker from the previous owner?

I do dive, but the sticker is from the previous owner and was actually removed before I saw the jeep. These are the picture the dealership took.

Also just an update I contacted the dealer and they said by Monday they should be able to get ahold of the previous owner and see if he is willing to stay in contact with me.

Stupid question, but is there any easy way (without talking with him) to figure out if he has upgraded the axel's and gearing? I want to move up to 35in tires soon and if he already took care of those aspects then it makes it a lot sooner lol.

Ok my rear diff cover says this:

Dana
429 60 1
204 2
Rev X
03 20 00

So where does that put us lol? I'm sorry I have always been a sports car tuner. This is a whole new world for me to learn about

Does it have a metal oil filler plug, or a rubber one?

Metal.

I also just found the original window sticker and it said that it came with an optional:

Tire & Wheel Group - 30"
- axle - rear, Heavy Duty Dana 44/226MM
- axle ratio - 3.73
- shocks - high pressure gas charged

But I don't know if he changed any of that. If he didn't what's the biggest tire size I could go on that? The 32s are a bit small.

With the 44 you could go as big as a 35. Some guys run as big as a 37 on a D44. Not sure about how much lift you have though. Looks to be around 4 inches. You should clear 33's with no problem and possibly a 35, but you would have less flex. I am sure folks with more knowledge will chime in, I am new to jeeps myself. Congrats on the jeep.

If it's got 32's on it now, I'd imagine that it still has the 3.73s in there. You might be able to get away with 33's on 3.73, but that's pushing it . . . do you have a stick or auto? I've got 4.10's on mine with 33's and a 6 speed . . . I'd probably want to regear if I went to 35s.
