yeah basically the inline 6, but im starting to get warmed up to the jks. They do better offroad stock than a stock tj does and they're more comfortable on road and stuff.I just dont like the look of those flares they have haha.

Nothing wrong with a TJ and nothing wrong with a JK. They all have their faults.

only think I dont like about the jk is the larger size and the flares and bumper are too big for my tastes. but hey most offroaders who care about that stuff change em anyways so no biggie. also whoever said jks are better offroad thats purely opinion... maybe just because they are "bigger" but the tj is smaller so therefore has its advantages too. The TJ isnt better, its all opinion bro. drive a few diff types and see what you like. This is opening a can of worms haha.

That is somewhat of a loaded question. All wranglers are good and all have their bad sides as well. JK owners will say they're the best, as will TJ owners, YJ owners and CJ owners. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". It is all a matter of personal preference. Besides that, with all the mods that are out there, every Jeep can be different and great in their own respect.

The jk's have to many electronics, like heated mirrors, engine braking and other stuff like that. True heated mirrors are nice but it's just a wire u have to unplug to take the doors off. And engine braking isn't all that special, my TJ has transmission braking that does the same thing. It's just letting the friction inside the motor slow the descent of the vehicle.

The TJ has a stronger motor & it has heavier panels than the newer Jeeps. The shorter wheel base turns on a dime,so it makes it really easy to park. Plus they don't have all the stupid computerised stuff the newer ones have.
I have a JK & I love it though

The letters TJ are waaaay cooler than JK. Plus, the aftermarket sector for TJs puts the JKs to shame. I think that the TJ is loads easier to spec out. Too much electronic and nonessential stuff on the JKs that gets in the way.

Do you really need heated leg massaging seats that make you a latte while you're waiting to pick the kids up from soccer?

I like my TJ. It is not luxury, but we have two other luxury vehicles, a hot rod and a commuter. If I wanted a larger Jeep I would take a serious look at the JK. Each vehicle has it's intended purpose.

I like to think when Jeep released the 2007 Wrangler there was a bad response from the audience and Jeep immediately said "JK!" as if the jeep was a joke or prank. I have a TJ but I do like the JK models -just not a big fan of the big fenders and bumpers.

for me, I think the 2003 Jeep is the perfect medium between what a Jeep is meant to be and transitioning into newer times/comfort/luxury. All that stuff in the JKs... the interior is like- wtf? THIS is a Jeep?

In 03 they got rid of, in most cases, those interior seat patters that started back in YJs. I have it in my 95 Rio and it just irks me. Its just...ewwkkk. Why? Why Jeep?!

I think the 2003 Rubis and Saharas are golden.

Having said that, I have had my YJ for 2 years now. Although there is nostalgia there, I would much rather spend my money building up something that I can count on longer down the road. Plus I just hate the 4 banger. Like. Really really.

Ideal world, I win the lottery and get to keep my YJ and build up a low mileage Rubi one piece at a time.

In the real world, I'll sell the Rio and buy an 02-03.

Yes, I love my short wheel base TJ. Very sporty driving, turns on a dime. It's like driving a rag top sports car on steriods. and it's as capable as you want to make it, hundreds of thousands of aftermarket parts for the TJ and a little cheaper than for the JK, But then you can buy a brand spanking new JK. that does mean something to some people. and now they have some cool fenders available to get rid of those Dumbo looking ones.

With every new generation of Jeep the previous generation is always better. I'm sure when the YJ's were released the CJ owners were like "square headlights, blasphemy!" Then when the TJ came out it was "computerized engine and coils, what?!?!" Then the JK came out and we were all "more computers and four doors, ugh." Personally I like all the generations. I almost bought a JK before I found a TJ I liked and it was the best purchase I made.

^^^ Yeah somewhere down the line, not planning on it for a few years, but I will be starting a family.

My girlfriend told me the only way I can have a child in a Wrangler is if it is the four door JK.

I'll take it ! I know for a fact I never want to drive anything else. First vehicle was Jeep...last one will be too!

Given a choice between a 2-door JK and a TJ, I would pick the TJ. For a vehicle with that short of a wheelbase, the TJ seems better proportioned.

Given a choice between a TJ (Or even an LJ for that matter) and 4-door JK, I would definitely pick the 4-door JK. The flexibility of having the extra doors and cargo room would be a huge plus for my needs. Suddenly, my wife won't be able to accuse me of driving an "impractical" vehicle.

We did a couple jeep jamborees last year (Killington and Bethel Maine) in our 2003 Rubicon (YEAH, RUBICON'S ROCK) and EACH TIME had JK's in the lineup...and EACH TIME someone (us once or twice) had to winch a JK around, over, or off something...they just couldn't handle the trails. Simple tight corner turned into a 3 point or even 5 point jockey contest, messing up the ruts for the rest of us...
yeah, okay, we have a grandson that we'll be toting around soon, he's getting big enough...and the JK looks good for that with 4 door access to the rear seat, room for luggage and toys and stuff...but....for just the two of us, the TJ rules the off road.
