I'm going to have to agree with both sides on this, the language in the post didn't offend me personally per se, but if we're going to have a clean forum, we all need to make the effort to use other descriptive words to express ourselves strongly.

And thanks for all the responses to my original question, gives everyone who might be considering this mod (tube fenders) a lot to consider.
I'm not gonna go over that......

<stepping on soap box>
I have recently dealt with these issues personally.....
I have a few thoughts in general:

Members are encouraged to voice their opinion in a manner that is not distasteful, or in a "bashing" manner.
ie: I may disagree, but I won't call you crazy.
....I may not like your mod, but I won't say it sucks.

Most members loves their Jeeps like children, but don't take a difference of opinion as a personal offence....don't be "thinned skinned"

It is can be difficult to read a post and interpret the writer's tone...try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Foul language is not condoned, has not been a problem and I hope it doesn't become one.

got rid of the husband.....bought another Jeep

I think the tube fenders look great. It would be funny to see if the words we chose to use changed if each profile had more information about ourselves and a real picture to go with it. I was just thinking about it because we tested something similar a few years back while working on a website I do translations for.

If your going back to see what i had to say on earlier posts then you have to much time on your hands. You see when i was old enough to read, and i read the constitution, i believe the first ammendment says we have the freedom of speech. Or maybe im in the military for the wrong reasons! Anyway i said in my post that this was my (((opinion))) and i stick to it. Im sure they are strong as hell but are they practical. How much clearance do you really get??? Someone has to go against the grain to keep this forum interesting. Im not gonna be one of the guys on here that agrees with whatever the senior people say everytime. As for jeeperman i never said i knew everything and you dont offend me by talking about your jeeps so thats just silly.... I have seen plently of jeeps without tube fenders do quite a bit more than jeeps with them. So that would make them a waist of money in most instinces. If you think they help...its your money but you have to look at the practical side of things. If a new guy gets on here and asks about a topic such as this one and everyone jumps on the bandwagon and tells him its the only way to go, and he goes out and cuts up his jeep and dumps a load of cash is that fair to him. I think not. As far as looks go that is an opnionated topic! Sorry if i pissed anyone off but this is why we get together, correct me if im wrong.....
You're fine here boss. No worries. No one has to agree with any one on this forum. That's what gives people food for thought is debate on any given topic.

What we do not want is people publicly degrading others on the board which I do not feel you did. We also want to keep the foul language to a minimum. Hell I'm even guilty of it sometimes and I'm a moderator. We don't have the filter turned on for it and trust our members to not turn this board into another Pirate because we will have to step in if we see that happening.
