Wife wants to paint the Jeep blue

It's black now and I just got a new black soft top. The blue she wants is kinda light, I would rather it be a bit darker. What do you guys think?

I have the dark blue but personal preferences prevail.

Does the Jeep need a paint job in the first place. Does not make a lot of sense to paint it if it has a good coat on it now.

Our 'discussions' over modifications, add-ons, etc. usually are won by 'the person that drives it'....although now she drives half of the offroading and loves it...so I only have to 'mention' slightly something new we need-like a HiLift jack...and once she thinks it is 'her' idea, it gets ordered! LOL...but she likes the all black look so it stays black. Only argument I lost was putting on the Cepek Crushers-I wanted white lettering, she wanted all black sidewalls....she won that one!

Two tone it. Top black, bottom blue, and a thin silver line to separate them. I love the black on mine but someday I'm gonna do a two tone with black and dark metallic gray.

Unless you are doing the painting yourself, there is generally a major difference in price when making a color change. Check into it before deciding.

Painting mine from black to orange. Not a massive deal if you don't have a lot of body work to do and access to the paint sprayer. Paint is going to run me about 120(going with bottom line paint as it a trail truck, best paint was $1000), primer and prep items 50 or so. Shop wanted 3k-4k for color change.

You are right, it needs a paint job. I personally would go with a darker color blue than light. Good luck.

go to a shop and look at colors, you may be suprised on what you both can agree on. it doesnt have to be a "factory" blue, be original, navy is so over done, do a fantastic royal blue, not a baby blue and not a dark, ha ha but you better compromise

Oh! Oh! Oh!! I know *waving arm vigerously*

Paint it black with blue ghost flames!

Or, buy her an Islander!

what caused all that paint damage? you might need to check that before you repaint it to make sure the new paint wont have any problems.

There is a guy in our club that used to have one like that. It was BEAUTIFUL!

He traded it in last year for a black JK, hopefully he'll flame it too.

The money saved on a color change would certainly pay for a flame job.

The paint was like that when I bought it and only on the hood. I would like to have a shop do it but my wallet disagrees with me.

Don't go cheap. Get all the nooks a crannies. Then it will be MUCHO MACHO OR for the women CUTIE PATUTIE.
