Will 17" rims fit a 1998 15" size

I have a 98 15" rim Wrangler.

I have found a set of 17" 2004 Wrangler rims. Will they fit on my 98?

If so what is the down side? Will they fit the wheel wells, etc.

Thanks, CK

The down side is they are 17". TJs look the best on a 15" wheel imo.

17"were not stock on ant TJ. They are smaller, JK or aftermarket. Rim does on dictate if they will fit. It is the overall tire diameter. What size tires are on them?

No tires, just the rims. I think they came off a 2008 Wrangler. I posted 2004 but I think they are off a 2008.

The bolt pattern is not a direct fit. You need wheel adaptors which are going to be a couple hundred so unless you are getting a super bargan, you can buy new rims cheaper.

I'd pass on those wheels, the added cost of the bolt pattern adapters needed to make them fit will make them a lot more expensive than they're worth.

Unless you're running 37s or taller.

Stick with 15's! 17's are for the mall cruisers. We are going with 15x10 M/T Sidebiters with some 33x13.50/15 Nitto Mud Grapplers! Can't wait!!
