Question Will 2011 shocks and springs fit on a 1997?

We have been told that you can put 2011 shocks and springs on a 1997 with the result of a 2 inch lift. Is this true? Thanks!

The shocks have the same mounts and will fit a 97'. On the other hand the springs will not, the back springs are a skinnier on the bottom, only way to fit them would to mod the spring perch's on your axle...not a fun job.
