ebay or the dealer... i do know that they are highly wanted items so if you find them you will probally end up paying a nice penny for them.

For a bit more useful camo seat covers check out wet okole. Unless you are trying to build a willys model out of a SE.

I gave up trying to find a white top for the Teal 97, nobody had them, not even the dealer and that teal and white looked good too... ended up with black.

Imitation is the best form of flattery...Build what you want, they way you want. Chances are you won;t see another Willy's anyway since they are so rare.

Remember, modern Jeeps are built from the Willy's heritage that was started.. Hummers are the posers.

I think my goal is even more of a willys edition than teh factory one. I plan on painting mine olive drab and having teh stars stenciled on with flat white paint. I am going to stain the interior plastics OD green as well and get canvas material for the seats to be covered in.

That sounds awesome...I swear to you this is a true story....

The first thing that ran across my mind when I got my Jeep last year was to do it up old school... Star on the hood and sides, some #'s, etc. After I became a member on this forum someone posted the Willy's edition and my jaw dropped....

I was beside myself, someone took my idea! I was intrigued and perplexed at the same time. So I took all the factory stickers off and settled on the civil war era flag-shield for the sides. I still am going to put the star on the hood...However, I want to "ghost" it in silver.

Hah, after driving issue M151's for several years straw packed canvas seats are over rated. Now there's an Idea, find some mutts seats for the TJ.

If I had that for sure the green top would get pulled and put away, maybe the seats too if they are camo. I always looked at that willys edition as a method Jeep used to sell $100 worth of decals for an extra $2000....

Make sure and mount the .50 cal! There's actually a guy in town that brings an old 40's something WILLYS out and he's got one mounted above....probably might just want to do that if it's going to sit. Can you imagine tailgating a HONDA with one of them on top...vroom vroom

I've often considered removing the back seat and putting in those side mounted jump seats...

I can't beleive you mentioned that, I had my backseat out all week and thought about the jump seats the old Toyota LandCrusiers used to have...Does anyone make them for Jeep?

Check these out. It's in Eau claire, WI... They have an actual WILLYS on Dick Cepek Crushers with the DC-1's, then I believe they still have one that's a replica.
