Winch installed, pics. And a question...

Went to a bikini car wash today at 4 wheel parts only went for the sale they were having though and picked up a winch plate for cheap so I installed my m8000 today.

My question is, is it okay that I used the tow hooks with the stock bolts to hold the winch plate and everything down? They grabbed hold plenty good enough. I can even see a little of the threads coming out the other side of the hole so I know they are in there good just not sure if they are strong enough.

Yes, at least most likely. Tow hook bolts should be/typically are Grade 5 at a minimum so you should be fine. To know for sure, the bolts should have 3 little hash marks on top indicating Grade 5. 6 hash marks means a stronger Grade 8, though Grade 5 is more than strong enough for a winch.

This bolt head's 3 tick marks indicates it is a hardened Grade 5 bolt which is the minimum suitable strength bolt.

They are the stock torx bolts. May grab some grade 5 or 8 later night just to make sure

How is your fairlead attached? How much for the plate? Anyway, looks like it will work fine

The OE torx bolts are strong enough. If you go for hex head bolts, which is a good idea, I believe they are 1/2x13.

Awesome thanks. Next is to sleeve the wires so they don't rub anything. The positive wire was sleeved already
