Winch mounting plate

Ok, so i'm in a rather silly situation. You see, I sold my Grand Cherokee about 2 or 3 months ago on the promise that my mother-in-law would give me her/my wifes wrangler and my wife would get a new car. I did, so now I have a wrangler YAY

Here lies the problem, since the jeep isn't in my name (yet) I cant do much to it...counting the days and savings my pennies while I wait of course. But I am ordering a winch soon (either the warn m8000 or the VR 8000) and I need a winch mounting plate that will require no modification to the stock TJ bumper. I'm new to the whole wrangler experience for the most part so i'm not sure which mounting plates need some TLC to get just right and i'm trying to basically get as close to plug an' play as possible. So that way if for some reason the jeep never ends up in my name, I pull the whole thing off and go about my business with my (current) jeep now showing no signs.

TL;DR Need a winch plate for warn M8000 or vr8000 that requires NO modifications to the stock bumper

All the winch mounting plates I am aware of will mount to the frame via bolts that only pass through the bumper without any modifications to the bumper itself. It's not the bumper itself the mounting plate and winch is bolted to, it's the frame underneath. The bumper doesn't even have to be there.

Yep, unless you "weld" the bolts on it's all plug and play!! Removal will take all of 15 mins.

Here is just about the cheapest you will find for plates. I have the same one and I'm quite pleased with it. Oh and the shipping was crazy fast.

Amazon.com: Smittybilt 2801 Black Winch Plate: Automotive

Now that the VR8000 is available I might be going with a warn instead of a smittybilt. Let me know if that plate still works with the winch! How do I know if I need a raised plate though? I have the smittybilt XRC Stinger and with the winch (XRC8) i was told I'd have to go with a raised winch plate. Same deal? Just curious, didn't mean to jack the thread.
