wind effect

Hi
this is my 1st jeep. have owned other smaller vehicles but usually more airodynamic than a brick with wheeles.
my question is-can the wind have an effect on ride/stearing? i drive 40 mi 1 way to work and have noticed at 5:30am(calm) the jeep drives rock steady but on the way home it seems to blow around and steering is different(not as calm as am)-kinda more 'touchie' and can feel more road vibration on the wheel. is this normal or is it me? had a vibration at 54-58mph that balancing took care of-this kinda feels the same but alot less violent.

Our Wranglers have the aerodynamics of a barn door so yep, they are subject to being blown around a bit by strong winds. However, do check your toe-in angle as a bad toe-in angle can make the steering less stable.

And the air pressure in the tires. Tire stores usually fill them to the max and you are riding on little of the tire. I set mine at 26 psi and you can still feel the strong winds trying to push it sideways but it's controllable.
