New weather stripes would probably make a big difference

The front may not be seated from the top having been installed incorrectly. The top should be placed into position and the front latches fully clamped down first, then the rear bolts are installed and tightened. If the rear bolts are installed and tightened first, the top may not seal correctly over the windshield. If you undo the top to reseat it over the windshield, make sure to lift it up a tad off the rear so it can pull itself into position as the front clamps are clamped.

If that doesn't do it, a new seal is indicated.
When you have a choice, buy American.

Mine makes noise, but I'm still able to hear my passenger and my radio. Like the other two have suggested, weatherstrips; which I'm gonna get a new set for mine; and make sure the front end is secured to the top of the windshield.

I could very well be normal if the top hasn't been off recently. A Jeep with the top installed perfectly isn't what I would call a quiet vehicle.......
