Window Crank Removal?

2005 Wrangler

My window crank sit the the wrong position when the window is fully closed and I rub my knee on it.

I need to remove it and reinstall it about 90 degrees counter clock wise.

How do I remove it?

Is it one of those stupid clips of some sort, that is almost impossible to get to?

Yes it is one of those crazy clips that is difficult to reach. Use a long flat head screwdriver and push the clip out of position and the whole handle will fall off easily.

2000 Sahara, 3.5" Rubicon Express Lift, 1" spring spacer & 1" Body Lift, 33" or 35" BFG Mud tires, Front & Rear ARB, Rancho 9000 shocks, UCF Ultra High Belly Up

it's a C clip.
go to any auto parts store, and they have a removal tool, and new clips.

if you don't want to do that.
get 2 small flat head screwdrivers. turn the handle where it's facing up. and look down behind the arm of the handle to the center, and you will see 2 small notches, put the screwdrivers in the 2 small notches, and push down. clip should come lose, and the handle will fall out. don't lose the clip, you will need it to reinstall.

hope this makes sense.

too many six's if you ask me.

Jesus Clip, I knew I saw this some ware.

Any other car with these clips I’ve always been able to alter a coat hanger for this clip removal, never tried it on a Jeep handle.
