Window Tint match...

Hey guys

I just purchased a replacement top with tinted windows. I want to tint my driver and passenger door windows too but I want the tint to match. Has anyone matched the tint to their back windows? If so what percentage did you use?

Thanks!
Matt

Check your local laws to see the lowest percentage you can legally go.

I went with 20% on mine and I think it matches pretty good.
Mine is slightly below legal for me, but my doors sit in the garage from April til October.

With soft top.

With hard top.

X2 on the 20% but mine where factory tinted lightly so it was lucky that Auto Apple Glass managed to match them right. I would suggest taking your jeep to a professional unless you've done the work yourself, then more power to ya. But atleast I have a warranty if things go bad later.

If you go to a good quality tint shop they will know exactily what to do. Had many windows tinted and been very happy.

I strongly suggest going to a professional. A professional will do 2 windows for $50-75 depending on where you go, but it will be warrantied for a few years.

I'm just saying, I used to work at autozone, and almost every person that did it themselves (which costs around $20 anyway) came back a few weeks/months later to get the removal kit (another $10-15) due to a botched job. Save yourself the time and money and have a professional do it. Just my $.02...

Hope you realize that NC tint law is at 35% for the front windows. The tint shops that I have dealt with in the past will apply illegal tint but with no warranty and cash only. Having said that, I have done DIY tint and for Jeeps, it's fairly easy. Take the interior panels off will make it easier.
