Windstoppers for rear passengers

Do windstoppers/mesh work to reduce wind for rear passengers? I have 2 small daughters 5 and 6 who are always riding with me and I am wondering if a windstopper would cut down on the wind shear for them.

Yes. I made this awhile back using bungy balls, grommets, and window screen mesh from Lowes. I have since added mesh to both rear sides using the same method along, threw my ST and frame in the attic and installed a CRES/safari top and run that year round. I have my 5yo and 17mo old in the rear. It greatly reduces blasts of wind, more privacy, along with keeping the rear mostly dry driving in the rain. It can easily be removed for those days I want more openness.

How well does that rear screen hold up in the wind? I know that it's a screen and all, but it still catches some wind and I am sure flaps a bit. I am considering doing something like this for my 7 year old daughter. She loves the jeep, but is always complaining about too much wind when we get on the highway. Also, do you have a part number or anything for that screen? It appears to be one of the metal mesh ones, but it's difficult to tell from the pic. Thanks!

No flap because it does allow air through. It's a shading fabric and works well.

Check ebay also. I'm sure there are other people making similar items.
