? Wiring for LJ hardtop

I have a 04Lj they I got a few weeks ago that came from Factory with softop only. I've found a shop that specializes in Jeeps close by that has a 06 LJ hartop for $1,500. I didn't want to spend that much on one, but I fear they are far and few around. My question is, I have no switches on dash and no wiring for the wiper/ defogger on hartop are these available? I can live without them but would be nice to have them operate. I plan on keeping my low mile LJ for awhile and feel I should buy this hartop or regret it later if I pass. Jim

From what i've read the harness kit should include what you need. Let me know how it goes. I'm in the same boat with my 04 LJ

I have a 2005 and am in same boat. You can find the harness kit with switches and wireing and water pump for rear washer on ebay. Everyone I have seen is 159.95 or around that plus about $20 to $40 shipping. I found the hard top but hate to spend so much for the kit. Ebay number is for the kit for you and me is: 120793473658.

Hope that helps

Hardtop wiring kit

You can get the wiring kit at quadratrack for same price with no shipping. I put it in yesterday on my 2005 Wrangler. Wiper and washer are fine but having a problem finding the correct peer feed off the relay for the deicer. Anyone have a solution?

Did you tie into the big connector step 24 and 25 or is that what you can't find?

Stuck on step 24,25

Completed most of the install, now I need to go back and try to make sense on steps 24 and 25. Any help would be appreciated, (pictures would be great!)

This is the connector step 23 and 24. Take out the speaker and you'll see it. You have to unlock it, upplug it then release the tension to get the pins in.

The only wire we had trouble finding was the feed for the rear window defogger. It is the black wire with white stripe in the black connector. We had trouble inserting the pin so ended up splicing directly into the wire. All the other pins went in fine. Everything now works.

hbl means heated back light. Step 24 pin 2 light blue/white tracer goes pin 2 in the white side of the connector and black with white tracer step 25 goes into the black matching half. Look at the picture 25 for correct location of d5. I spliced and soldered mine too. Also step 22 and 23 may be the problem because they control the hbl relay. If the hbl relay doesnt close you'll Get no power to the defroster.
