Wiring question?

Can you cut out the connection to the crank position sensor and splice it direct with butt connectors and shrink tubing around it as I had broken wires in the main harness right at the connector I guess from it hanging down off the harness and bouncing up and down. While using a remote start switch and wiggling the harness right behind the throttle body it fires up and runs perfect, but while running I wiggle it and it will start running bad or just kill.

Thats what I did. Probably better to change the whole thing since it only cost about $25 for the entire deal but it saves time.

Random Guy: "Is there anywhere that thing cant go?"
Me: "Yea, past a gas station..."

Follow up: tried to solder the wires together and shrink wrap and the motor would not start. Found a used wire harness on ebay for $149 ($1500)new and changed the crank pos sen again as I tried to solder the wires but it didn't work anyway she's running fine now. But if you have times when it runs good and then other times bad I would check the harness where the crank pos sen wires come off and hang down because thats where the wires were broken inside the insulation
