Wont work

My AC/Heat in my 98 when turned on it only blows air out of the defroster. What could this be/ The different levels of speed works but no air comes out of the front or feet vent when the setting is set there.

Probably a vacuum leak. My guess would be either on the fitting right where the line goes inside the cab (passenger side firewall) or the dash controls themselves.

Sometimes my selector knob does not catch to turn from defrost to feet and so on. I have to push in and turn until I feel the "cliking" between settings.

There is a hard plastic vacuum line that goes from the intake manifold to a T over the battery. from the T one leg goes inside to the control switch & the other goes to the vacuum reservoir under the battery. Usually it comes off at the manifold or reservoir or the plastic line itself cracks. Check the rubber fittings at the ends first. If the line is cracked it can be hard to see. You can test this by going behind the control panel & finding the vacuum lines, one should have vacuum when the engine is running. I think it is the black one if I recall.

I agree with this.. this was my issue. I just used a zip tie to ensure that it won't come off again.
