There's just not enough info there to make a decision via the internet. It sounds like it has some good stuff on it but it could have been all slapped together. Has he looked at it in person?

Yes, he went looked at it and worked his number down from the 22.5k. I am in the same boat as you, I'm 200mi away and he's nailing me every 5 minutes on this. On the surface it looks in good shape.

The guy claims he built it and it scared him. He refused to wheel it and now his wife wants him to get rid of it because of the bad gas mileage. Who knows it may be true.

If it has never been wheeled how did it scare him????Does it drive that bad on the road????I would say 18K is still a bit much unless you know what your getting.Someone don't just sink that much money into something just to get scared of it and sell a few weeks later or I wouldn't.I don't know tell him to drive it test out the 4 Hi and Lo and look and listen for obvious things and if it drives good and everything works as it should then i would say it is worth it.

Mmm... no. I'd buy a car as I already have a Jeep, for the time being.

From what the buyer told me, He took it wheeling and couldn't make it past the first few obstacles. His friend took over the driving and that was its one and only time out. This could all be BS or it could be true.
Any way the guy is going to buy it today.

I'd do a CarFax to be safe...Looks like a decent deal assuming it hasn't been flooded or something like that. I don't buy the story about getting scared.... It doesn't make sense IMO.

I'm sure he has already done the Carfax, he's the head of commercial sales at a local GMC dealership. He just doesn't know anything about jeeps.

I just bought an 06 with 21,000 miles on it. It was stone stock in good shape for $20,000.

It sounds like the guy only knows 4Point (poor guy) and that's why he asked him about it. Obviously 4Point didn't have a clue so he asked us.
