I have to say, there's not much better than a good cigar and driving my TJ with the top off.

I was inspired to build an ashtray which would fit in a cup holder and let me leave the cigar while shifting.

Fits snuggly in the front drink holder, no odor with the lid on, can quickly drop the stogie in without damaging a fine Arturo Fuente.

Here is my creation.

Start with an inexpensive car cup and a wire coat hanger.
Cut off the hook and straighten the hanger. Wrap into a square spiral (cause it was easier with a pair of plyers) and wrap around the handle.

30 seconds with the Dremel to cut two notches in the cap to fit around the wire. Replace the gasket to keep the ashtray smell in.

Viola!

I can't enjoy a good cigar without a drink, and it's get problematic when I'm driving, shifting, smoking, and drinking, haha. I find pipes to be a lot easier to smoke, but they're more work than a cigar.
That is a nice little creation you've got there, though!

I've smoked the good cigars but I'm all about the cheap ones.
My favorite cheap cigar used to be Tampa Nuggets but I don't think they're around anymore. My favorite Jeep cigars are the Outlaws and I just flick the ashes. I have not smoked a cigar in soooooo long though. I promised the wife I'd quit

Yes, but you have two choices on check out. One is they remove all rings, tags, boxes etc. and vacuum seal them with foam pellet packing. I think they guarantee it. You get a package labeled Dominican cigars. The other is you take the risk and they send them as is. They might get confiscated. Personally I prefer Partagas.

There's no way I'm smoking a premium in the Jeep. That's like pouring $100 a bottle scotch in Coke. They are meant to be enjoyed. But I got plenty of good $2 - $3 maduros that would be fantastic driving around with the top off. I like the cup. Great idea.

To each his own. I'm smoking cigars in the $7 to $10 range.

In this case, it's all about the ash tray.

I'm going to put one together today, great idea. My favorite... "Re-released Cubans" from Cigar International. A remake of a 1959 Cuban at a really good price.
For a good everyday short smoke..."Principes". They are made from the trimmings at the La Aurora factory in the Dominican.

My favorite cheap smoke is he Avanti.
Have not seen a cigar-themed cover, but I think there are places that will make custom ones, although it would be pricey. I have been thinking of a Masonic one.
