Yeah Rugged Ridge!

I know the old saying you get what you pay for but I didn't expect my soft top to only last me 6 months before it took a crap. I've had it on and off about 10 times this year. All when it was 65 or above so it should have stretched plenty. Well I went to tuck this flap in and RIIIP. Followed by "ARE YOU F$&KING KIDDING ME?"

Between this and the bushings in my LCA's lasting all of a couple years I've had enough. From now on I'm not going to go with the cheaper option. Highest quality or nothing at all.

I can only hope. Sending them an email tomorrow. Luckily the weather is nice so I'll just take the top back off. The only reason i put it on was to make moving from my apt to my house easier

Just email them that you're going to dump on their name on Wranglerforum and Jeepforum. Somewhere I saw resolution with another company that way. They hate to see their name slandered in two of the biggest online Jeep communities. I just hope they maintain some sense of decency and make it right.

I would. Rugged Ridge is loud, leaks (regardless of tears), and kind of a PITA to install alone. I would drop $700 on bestop in a heartbeat if I wasn't saving for a new DD.

Business day 1. No reply from RR.

I wish there was a "sticky" for newbs on this and all jeep forums which loudly and obviously screamed "RUGGED RIDGE - DO NOT BUY"

I know that many bag on smittybuilt and a couple others as being crap, but honestly, I've never had a problem with my smitty products. They may not be top of the line, but they don't cost anywhere near the top of the line, and in my experience the others are at least serviceable products.

However, with rugged ridge, I bet I blew about $250 (in one shot) on random crap that as soon as I opened it I had that feeling I was screwed. What I didn't send back broke within weeks, if not days.

lesson learned.

Don't email them. Call them. Plus, try to contact the vendor you bought it from. They should be able to sort it out for you.

I have the same top and love it. No rips pulled stiches or anything. I run it in the winter to with no problems. There was another guy on here that had a stich rip and they replaced the hole top. Maybe just a defect in your top, all top makers have some tops that have defects even bestop. Dont worrie maybe send them your top so they can figure out what whent worng.
