Yes I'm a Newbie, Please Help!

Ok here goes. I just bought a 2005 Wrangler x with 19000 miles on it. This is my second jeep, but I didn't do anything to the other. I just aquired a 2" Tuff Country lift for free and this is my problem. The directions state that the lift is for a manual transmission only. I emailed the company that it came from and they responded "It can work with an automatic with shimming done to the cross member". I don't know where to shim or how much. It is part number 42901 from the suspension connection. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

most likely they want you to drop the skid to alleviate driveline vibration.

If only a 2" lift, you may not need to drop much or even at all. Probably just a few washers.

I think the issues from "tuff country" view may be, they think it will make the front d-shaft hit the crossmember/skid plate.

But not really a worry with just the 2'' BB.
