yj axles in a tj?

can i throw yj axles under my tj?

i have the ability to weld new brackets if thts what u mean? what would it entail? anyone know?

just have to cut the old brackets off and weld on spring perches, should be about it, well and probably shock mounts

Also, you'd have to fit track bar and sway bar link mounts. I don't see any advantage in throwing YJ axles under a TJ, except maybe the D30 because they came with an HPD30. It would be easier to get a Cherokee axle instead. YJs have D30/D35 combos. Unless you have an export model, some of those came with a D44.

Why do you want to put YJ axles under a TJ?

because i know someone trying to sell d44s 33 spline with ox lockers for a good price

didnt think about that one, i dont have a rear sway bar so i never think of that one lol

they are out of a yj though is what im saying. for 250 id say thats worth it

Ya they did, only some of them did though, my 95 had a HP D30. To swap axles you would just need to weld on the brackets for coil springs and a trac bar and make sure they have mounts for a sway bar too and you should be good to go
