YJ grill on a TJ?

Im thinking about getting rid of my YJ and getting a TJ because its in pretty rough shape, but i like the look of the square headlights so much.. I was wondering, could i take a replacement YJ grill and fabricate it to fit in place of the Tj grill? Does anyone know anyone whos ever done this?

Anything is possible with a proper set of welding skills.

I think it might take a little work to get to fit...but if you are comfortable with your fab skills...I am sure its possible

anything is possible with a oxy-acet torch, welder, angle grinder and skills to use them. otherwise, no.

there is a guy out here or ebay who does the opposite switch to put round headlights into a YJ. The grill assembly is two pieces, you need the back/mounted part from one jeep and the front half cut out from another. Try to find him if your really interested, he'd most likely trade with you to have another round grill to rip the front off of.

*patriotic music playing*

So all these are real jeeps and are somehow better then a yj grill? we have a liberty, compass, and a patriot that seem to be on par with CJs, TJs, JKs because they have round headlights?! I beg your pardon but my YJ with SQUARE headlights is much better off road then the ones in the pictures, I think the saying should be changes to "real jeeps have removable tops and doors with any shape of headlight" when will all the jeepism cease and jeeps of all shapes of headlights get along?! I ask you fellow jeepers to unite and love the YJ for it's differences and not shun it for it's squareness for under it all it's still a jeep! We would not make fun of a baby born with square eyes so why do we pick on the square "eyes" of our jeep brothers for they were born that way and had no say in the matter of headlight shape.
