You can't do that !

Finished my ZJ upgrade to my bent jeep (rear end collision) . Took it to get front end aligned and was told could'nt do it. Seems the control arm and mount was also bent and they would not do it. They told me the complete differential would need to be replaced. he said the bent mount could not be repaired to the exact specifications needed. I don't believe that , am I wrong? What would you guys do?

I would cut that off the axle tube, weld on a new one and replace the control arm. Or use this opportunity to upgrade the entire suspension.

Whenever people build 8.8's, or any other non-factory TJ swap in axle dont they cut, grind, and weld new mounts in?

I bet a new mount and a fresh coat of paint and he wouldn't even know.

They won't do it because it won't be 100% perfect and they don't want to guarantee it. If you look around on the threads there are instructions on how to do it yourself. But, I would have that cut off and replaced. If your just using it to knock around in, close is good, just throw cheap tires on it.
