When you get tired of and give up having to constantly hose off your driveway from the exhaust moisture blowing a nice black carbon ring on the pavement.

Never had that problem. Is your jeep running rich? How's your gas mileage?

In the crapper. 10-11 MPG on a really good tank. Running 31s with a 3" lift and stock gearing (from what the PO said). It has two bad O2 sensors that I have on order and will be replacing in the next week or so. Smells like it is running a little rich. Been running Lucas fuel system cleaner through it too which may be contributing some of that build up??

The O2 sensors could definitely cause that

Yes! I laugh when people say a soft top isn't good enough in the winter, yet my jeep is in fact too hot.

Never had that problem either. In fact my Jeep is probably 1 of the cleaniest running injuries either seen not 1 bit of carbon in a 13 year old exhaust system. I would definitely get them o2 sensors replaced...

Would not be the Lucas. What ever it is, the repair will be cheaper than fuel. I have 4" lift, 33", with stock gears and I get 16 - 17 mpg on average with as high as 20 on rare occasion.

Gotta love Jeep heaters! Never have to warm the thing up, and I've got heat within a 1/4 mile from my house!

+1

My PO had one of those cowl scoops on mine which made it even worse, when it fell off on the highway the other day I finally had to actually use the fan and I'm still only going to the second dot.

When you find yourself having to pass jku's all the time, because they just don't like the hills... Or curves... Or traffic. Good grief I think this guy rode his brake the whole way down the pass.

Most the jk owners I know build them up and wheel them hard. The people that don't wave seem to be spoiled teenage girls or older women. I don't mean to bash women. Just what I see around where I live.
