When you go out of your way to use 4wd

When the "snowbank parking spots" classify as a normal spot

When you're a "preferred customer" at your local parts shop....I know I am

You get better mileage with a tailwind

When your buddy with a sports car drives your tj and brings rpms up way higher than you ever would in 1st gear, and he says "Why is this thing screaming??!" And you say "well you should have already shifted out of first and be in 3rd, maybe 4th..."

I rarely take it over 3k in any gear. I had to teach my sister how to drive a manual, boy was that bad. She accidentally revved it up to 3500 and dumped it in first gear (good thing we were on gravel) and I barely stopped her from going from 3rd to second instead of 4th and she doesn't understand downshifting.

Nothing wrong with going over 3k, unless you are neutral dropping. In fact, if you never go over 3k you are prone to carbon build-up. I go over 3k every on-ramp unless I'm not warmed up. Also steep hills in 2nd and 3rd. Going on 11 years, my 4.0 runs great.

When you try to teach your buddy how to drive it in a parking lot and you get started out good but see the parked cars getting closer and closer. Next thing you know he hit two at the same time. You ask if he pushed the clutch in and the brake and his reply was "I pushed the clutch in half way..." "There's your problem DA." Luckily it didn't do any damage to the other cars.

When you try to teach another buddy how to drive it and they stall it out so many times at a stop light that it goes from red to green back to red and then back to green and he still can't get it so you have to pull a Chinese fire drill and get out of the way of the other cars because they are getting really pissed off.

A lot of these has nothing to do with Jeeps, but rather the common (and sometimes uncommon) mistakes made during learning manual transmissions.

I taught my wife how to drive a manual, in a rail buggy: riding in clay pits. When I thought she was doing good, I asked her if she wanted to climb some hills. The red neck woman she is, she gladly accepted. Stopped dead center of a climb on a very steep hill. I told her to never stop on a hill, instead gas it.

A little bit later she wanted to try again. She didn't stop this time. She hit third gear before reaching the base of the hill; sending us air born at the top. Would not been all that bad except I didn't have my harness on because I did not expect to wheel like that.

Hanging on for dear life.

When the hard top is too heavy and awkward for you to get off by yourself so you just take the doors off for the day

I take mine off by my self. It's hard but if you slide it off at stand underneath it it is doable
