To be honest I'm not 100% sure. But would being on 31-10.5-15 make the speedo not accurate?

as the other poster said: yes. speed is measured at the axle, a larger tire has more surface area than that a smaller one, thus which each turn at the axle, the tire covers more ground.

I edited my other post with a picture...
You can replace the speedo gear in the transfer case tail housing with the correct tooth gear

Im sure theres an equation to figure it out.
I have 31's, and at 50mph, I seem to be doing about 53. not exact, but its close. at least thats what the car behind me said they were doing when I tested it.

There should be a tag on the rear axle and tell you what you're gear ratio is, it will be under two bolts at the 9 o'clock position

Just posted it again for you, but most 31 inch tires aren't 31 inches tall, they'll be slightly smaller so that calculator is a little bit decieving. It'll get you in the ballpark

You know you drive a TJ when you cover half the speedo with you kids pictures because you know you will never be able to drive that fast.

I use little reflective velcro bands that are meant for bikers to wear around their ankle. They look very clean

I used the small bungee bands with the round plastic ball. They wrap around and connect to themselves with no sharp ends. Keep those seat belts quiet!

When you get $2 in quarters and it still isn't enough to air up your tires after the trail
