like i said tho, in my unscientific pole of all my jeep friends, only those over 5'10
have ever ripped a belt loop. and all but one of them have done it. no one under
that height has ripped anything. thus my conclusion. i guess i need more data
to complete my theory!

I am 6'4", have not ripped them on my TJ (only had it for 6 month), but I ripped or caught them on my YJ at least once a week for 10 years...maybe the different style of door latch???

I'm 6'2 yet still have to hop up into mine I average a belt loop every 6 months or so... With my situation if I hop too high I hit my head, if I hop too far back something catches on that damn door striker...

When you envy those around you at the gas station because they can use the automatic fill on the pump and not have a gallon of gas spew out on to the ground

Hey. How many of you that have ripped your loops have side steps? I'm thinking this might be the make or break thing. I have them and have never had the occurrence at all.

I had them and didn't use them, now I have rocker guards with a step bar and still don't use them as a step and in almost 6 years I've never caught a belt loop

Hahaha. I used to have steps and never tore any belt loops off. I don't have steps anymore and still no belt loops ripped off.

Also when I had steps, I didn't use them ever

When people give you funny looks and you can't figure out why. Then BAM! it hit's you, a huge chunk of mud from the tires that's when you realize they are looking at you funny because your jeeps covered in mud on the inside and out and so are you!
