Sure would have, and four more gallons of gas! I never do things the easy way, didn't plan on getting mulch, ran into a great deal on way home from work.

When you bring your 16 yr old daughter to the Jeep dealer to look at used Jeeps and they say, we have a lot of 4 doors...and she says "that's not a real jeep!". My girl is so smart!

When you can leave your Tj outside over night in a heavy down pour wearing nothing but a bikini top, get up in the morning, pull the plugs and drive to work.

They make the JK in 2WD?!?!?!?

1. Why the hell?
2. I didn't think the option even existed to buy a Wrangler with 2WD.
3. I would hope these don't sell well..or at all lol

Yep... 2007 to 2010 JKU I think.

I didn't know either until I stumbled on one while shopping for my Jeep.

I saw a really nice JKU in the cool green and the tag said "Reduced! $15,500"...
I wasn't in the market for a JKU but I do like that green and for 15.5.... well, I stopped and looked.
It was clean. I couldn't figure out what the deal was, why was it so cheap? I looked under the hood, looked inside, walked around it about 8 times.... couldn't figure it out. Then it hit me. No 4wd selector. So I crawled under it and to my horror realized that Jeep had committed blasphemy. They had built a Wrangler with just 2wd!

I climbed back in my old Ford Ranger and drove off with a new dark spot in my soul.

They made tj's like that too. They were used a lot for mail carrying. They also thus were often RHD ones

I've driven a few mail carrier jeeps, never seen a non 4wd one. Most mail jeeps were just ones made for the British/ Aussie market,

Hey. You may be right. Who knows. But regardless any 2wd suv or truck is a sad existence.

I agree that a 2wd wrangler is a waste, but a dodge 3500 dually made for towing doesn't need to be 4x4, know what I mean?

It doesn't need to be, but if you ever plan on towing something on or off a construction site/muddy area/or when it snows it might be a plus! Haha

Touché. But I mean you spent all that money on a dodge 3500 dually. Why not make it a 4x4 if your already that deep into it. You never know what terrain you might find yourself on.

If your doing haul for hire, or just tow pigging, you gotta squeeze every mpg outta that baby.

Well then most haul for hires don't use spanking new trucks most use older '90s trucks which almost all have 4x4. And having a transfercase only drops like .5mpg when not in use

I never tow anything myself, but my uncle used to be real big into horses and they would pull multi-horse trailers all the time. Their choice in trucks always seemed to be a 4x4 dually. The extra pull from the front wheels would help them get those huge horse trailers out of the sloppy mud that always seemed to be around the barns.

Or when you put 32 landscape 8'x4"x3" in the back with your wife and a sledgehammer in the front! I topped my mulch packing on this one! (See my post two or three pages ago!) Jeeps haul it all!
