When a five minute job takes you 2hrs because you discover another odd size bolt, that you have to track down a tool for, that no one carries.

When the jeep in your head and the jeep in your driveway never quite exactly match, because the jeep in your head is actually a future jeep, at least one upgrade/mod away from reality.

When it takes longer to put the top on and off then it does to drive to and from your destination, but you do it anyway.

Happened to me last week. The rain came and after 5-10 minutes in the rain, I got the top on. Only for it to stop raining, or I could have easily made it back to work in the same amount of time...

Dang wife wanted to stay dry...

I honestly thought that I was the only wack-a-doodle that did stuff like that. Got links and prices and it recalculates when I add new lines.

Not sure if this has come up, in 48 pages... but here goes...

When you refuse to let your husband drive it, because he makes fun of "The Wave".

Yes I am methodical in my planning, I have a SS with everything down to the grommet I am buying. Recalculates everything when I ad or take away. Seperate field for shipping.. It's pretty disgusting.

You know you drive a TJ when you suddenly become the neighborhood mechanic. They've seen you work on your jeep so much that they think you can solve all their car trouble.

When you say "TJ" in conversation with non-jeep people and have to do whole run down of jeep grill designs and years...ending with "...and the TJ was the last real Jeep"

then you typically lose them about 10s into that conversation .. I just say it's my jeep's nickname (which only works well for TJ and CJ .. JK looks like you're kidding and YJ you're either asking a question or abbreviating a Korean dish)
