You restore my faith in relationships, I can't wait to find a woman I will feel the same as you do for your wife sir.

Iono... If my future wife ever told me to give up my love for jeeps... when she should well know I love, I don't think I would want to stay with her.

I would do the same.

On the other hand, you could have a wife like mine who practically demands doorless at all times. And pouts if the sun is out and the doors/roof are on.

She even wants her own TJ now! Just another one for me to play with I guess.

After 20 years of marriage I can tell you that I would keep the doors on for my wife but I would not sell it. And she would not ask me to, she might say she did not want to ride in it but I can do what I want. I also would not ask her to get rid of anything she collects. It is about adapting not obeying. A demand from your spouse to get rid of something you really enjoy should be a warning sign.

With that said I am lucky that we enjoy the same things and I just ordered new bumpers, sliders, and flares and she is excited about installing them this weekend.

Drive whatever you want, she'll always find something to bitch about. Can we get back to Jeep talk, and less Dr. Phil?

When anything you install requires a torch, Kroil, and a trip to the hardware store. I mean really, this U-bolt connection on the Banks Monster cat-back is a joke:

And they included a much better clamp for the turn down...WTF?

Nope. Then it will be just as much of a pain in the ass to remove as the stock one (minus rusted bolts). I would, but the rest of the exhaust is going to be getting replaced soon, so it will need to come back apart. Also might get it all ceramic coated, if my co-worker friend and I ever manage the same day off, lol. If I didn't already have this thing laying around from years ago, I would have gone a different route. But, due to rusty hangers and a trip through the woods, it needed to go on now.

When you've saved every decent sized cardboard box you get to lay down under your Jeep to soak up oil and to lay on while working on it.

I guess I might as well weld it now... Turns out it rattled against the heat shield above the rear axle when starting out in first gear. The more I looked at that shiny exhaust tip, the more I wanted to take it off... Now the good clamp was free, and better than what I could find at the local parts store. So I'm thinkin, sweet, I'll just switch clamps and bend the front hanger so it has more clearance to the tub... No go. The damn thing won't come apart where that U-bolt style clamp attaches the muffler to the pipe, so the good clamp won't go on. It pinched the pipes together, even though I didn't do what I usually do and over tighten it. It'll need cut off just like the original if I ever want it apart anyway. I bench 350 and think I tore something in my right arm pulling/twisting/beating that SOB, I hope it's still round, lol. Good news is bending the front hanger worked, no more rattle. I spun the U-bolt connector 90 degrees for better ground clearance and the leak has stopped for now...
