Your best mod?

What is the best mod in your opinion you have done for your jeep? Weather it was for looks or for performance or both. Pics as well would be great to see!

Best modification, by far, has been having the right tires for the task at hand. BFG M/Ts for spring-summer-fall, Yokahama Geolandar I/T snow/ice tires for winter.

Seat risers in my LJ! I'm not short, 5'11 but I couldn't see the hood from the driver's seat! It's pretty hard to judge 2 lane roads without lines if you don't have a visual reference point to go buy, in my case it's the hood, which I also added a plastic bug shield for a better visual, I can't wait for my vision test at DMV next year LOL! Also, a Daystar dash bucket for all my junk.

I ordered the kit from Rough Country, it raised the seat an inch, maybe 1 1/4" but it makes a world of difference! It will give you more "leg droop". I paid $30 for the kit, others have made their own for less but I was lazy haha!

Heres a pic of the driver's side front left, they are all the same height and the kit raises both front seats. They are just pucks, much like bump stop extensions.

I finally just put some good mudders on mine and i gotta say it makes a crazzzy difference. Just a couple weeks ago we still had about a foot of sno it the woods in spots..if i had my all terrines on i never would have made it. I did prob a 100yd hill climb with ice sno rocks and mud np..I think tires r deff the first thing to invest it

Ok cool! So what about the most over looked mod? Is there any? Something most people skip over but should be done?

I would have to say the Kilby onboard air. Not only does it have countless practical purposes, my favorite impractical one is that it powers a set of dump truck air horns.

C.b. Radio with PA external speaker, it's also a very fun mod. I have hold my self back from not using it on the road, the other day this gurl in front of me every red light we stopped at she through her lighted cigarette out and picked her nose this went on for at least 5 or more stop lights, I really wanted to get on my PA and scare her and tell her off lol. Does any one else feel that way?

I know what you mean. I had this exact same setup in my S-10. It was fun when you pull up to a party in the dark where everyone was outside and yell "This is the police nobody move" ha the look on some of my friends faces was always priceless.

For my current Jeep in its current state, the answer is easy: body armor. So far I have Rock Hard rocker guards, a ProComp front bumper, a SmityBilt rear bumper, and a Mopar front diff cover. All this protection gives me the confidence to attack large rocks (with my meager 2" BB and 31" tires) that scare away other Jeeps with more lift and taller tires than me.

ProComp bumper (and Mopar diff cover if you look closely):

Rocker guards:
