ZJ tie rod, ball joints, unit bearings, and u joints

From what I read is seems that Moog has declined in quality with their ball joints. The NAPA - spicer seem to be recommended, but from napaonline they don't say if they are spicer, or premium.

2006 unlimited rubicon w/ 70,000mi 2.5" spring lift

The most expensive non adjustable ones are all listed as "each"
NCP 2601291 upper ball joint $57.15
NCP 2601292 lower ball joint $70.20
Total $254.70 + CA tax = ~$275

The offset ones are all $100+

Does anybody run offset ball joints to fix the camber / caster? It doesn't seem worth the cost with a low lift.

I can get a full set of synergy ball joints for about $250 shipped.
Synergy Suspension*::*Axles & Drivetrain*::*Synergy Suspension D30/D44/D50/D60 Heavy Duty Front Ball Joint Sets

It seems that the synergy joints are the way to go. Any opinions on them?

The project started with a ZJ tie rod, then I figured I might as well buy a new drag link to replace that TRE and the pitman TRE. While I'm at it I might as well do the ball joints. If I'm doing the ball joints, it makes sense to replace the unit bearings and axle u-joints too. I don't think any of these parts are 'bad' but maybe it will make my steering a tiny bit tighter and / or reduce the chance of breakage on the trail and give me another 50,000+ miles.

NAPA's "Premium" line of ball joints, which have a lifetime warranty, are Dana/Spicer. They were $215 before tax, for all 4, and I bought them in the store. Zero issues so far, and plenty of mileage & laser alignments to verify nothing has changed since install. I'd definitely recommend them.

There isn't really a reason to run adjustable/offset ball joints to correct caster, only camber. IMHO, you're better off with adjustable LCA's, or even cut/move/reweld the inner C's or control arm mounts, if you really have to.

For unit bearings, get Timken. Cheapest place is RockAuto last I looked, don't get them from Autozone for twice as much like I did.
For u-joints, Spicer 5-760x is the way to go unless you want alloy/CTM for some reason. Ebay had the cheapest prices last time I looked.
As for ZJ tie-rod, I've had good luck with the NAPA store brand stuff.

I've also had a few friends buy the more expensive Moog stuff, and not had it last.

Thanks guys! ECGS looks like less than half of what napa sells them for! What about the synergy ball joints? It's cool that the bottom one is more easily greasable. I already have the steering setup (all moog, we'll see how it does, 110lb tires should put it to the test!) I contemplated sleeving the axles and doing the weld on reinforcement to the C's while I'm in there, but I still need $1000s of more mods before I would jump it.
