Zone 4" lift

Hey guys I am in the market for a 4" lift kit not trying to spend a lot of money on the lift. I don't do any seriously off roading my LJ its my daily driver and weekend warrior. At first i was looking at the rough country N2-series then i saw this zone lift kit comes with bump stops and i heard zone is pretty good and for the price its not that bad. Which one would you think is best? Open to options as well on what is a good 4" kit for my LJ.

couple questions with 4 inch lifts would i need extended brake lines pitman arm and all those other goodies they say you need with a 4 inch? really don't wanna a little cheap 4 inch lift kit if i gotta end up buying extra things as well for that i can spend a thousand plus on a 4 inch lift that comes with everything. thanks guys anything well help me! just wanna left my jeep already and confused on this whole lift kit stuff what i need and don't need.

ride quality on those two are going to depend on the shocks. rough country i haven't heard much good about their shocks. zone i can say from personal experience rides better than stock with the nitro shocks. there are a lot of things that go into a 4 inch lift and they all add up to be expensive. i would consider for a minute a 3 inch lift and a 1 inch body lift. that will be cheaper and will still clear 33"s

Im guessing u are looking to run 33's. I ran a 2" Rubicon express bb and a 1" bl on my lj and was able to clear 33's just fine. If u are dead set on a 4" then start looking at sye, track bars, rear uca's to start.

I did the 4" Zone kit from BDS and I think for the price it is a very good system. I didn't do the drop pitman arm like everyone seems to think is a must and have had no issues. I didn't get any of the vibration problems that seem to come with the 4" lifts either. One thing I will say is be careful about checking the status of your frame rails where the skid plate mounts as this are seems to rust out commonly. I had 2 bolts spin out on one side due to rust and it isn't cheap once you start getting into frame rail repairs.

I want a 4" lift kit I was looking at some 3.25 lifts and maybe doing a 1" body lift. Want to run 33s nothing less and nothing more.

I plan on going with a zone 4" or rc 2.0 4" and she and drive shaft. Tires are probably be rocky mountains or dc fun countrys 33/12.50

Zone now offers a 4.25" combo kit. Comes with a 3" suspension lift, 1.25" BL, and 1" MML for ~$650...You'll want to upgrade to the Nitro shocks. I'm currently running the Zone 2" BB w/the Nitro shocks and the ride quality is great. This is a great combo because you then don't have to do the SYE and CV shaft upgrade...I'm getting this combo when I return from deployment.

Talk to AOR in the vendor's section and he'll be able to tell you more about Zone products and prices

I have this combo kit...just be prepared...some Jeeps will still have vibes. I'm running both the tcase drop AND a motor mount lift and 99% of my vibes are gone, but I have a few that occasionally still surface at around 3000 RPMs right as I'm shifting. With the 3" lift and just the tcase drop, my vibes were so bad at 50mph it felt like I was driving down railroad tracks.

Personally...if you go this route, go ahead and factor in the cost of an SYE and related components and plan on doing them.

Aside from the vibes, I LOVE the kit...it looks and rides great. In fact, on the highway, between the lift, 33" tires, and Cragar Soft 8 wheels that sit out wider (less backspacing)...it rides BETTER at highway speeds than it ever did. I used to get nervous at 70+ mph...just felt like it was gonna fly off the road at any time...now...I can run 80-85 and it's SMOOTH.

Btw... BDS owns Zone I believe...or something like that.



Oh yeah and I bought my kit off AOR...he's a great guy to deal with and will give you a much better price than the Zone website charges.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the BL+MML you shouldn't need the TC drop right?

He's got an lj, shouldn't need anything with 3", but you never know.

I have a Rusty's 3" on my LJ and clear 33x10.5s have no problems. It will rub the flares when flexed, but for a mostly street driven Jeep you shouldn't have any problems. With a 4" you will not need the SYE on an LJ, you already have the extra drive shaft length. Cam bolts or adjustable arms should be used up front to correct caster.
As to ride quality, it comes down to the shocks. Again, I have Rusty's and I am suprised they ride as well as they do. But what is good for me may not be for you. It rides better than any of the other lifted Jeeps I have had, but not as good as a stock F150.

Think I might go with a 3 inch lift and do like a 1 inch body lift so I don't gotta worry about all that extra stuff that comes with a 4 inch lift. Plus they are pretty cheap. How about this kit with a 1 inch body lift?
