Punctuation is not your strong suit.

Much more info is needed.

Why don't you pull the harmonic balancer off of the other engine and use it? I am assuming the transfer case you have is a NP 207. Nothing wrong with that case, just not a lot of support for it. ie parts etc. What tranny do you have?

What's the transfer case got to do with lifting it?

Sorry guys I was rushing when I wrote this I'm told from different people now that they do not make a skip yoke for my transfer case no because I want to do the spring over kit and than someone told me that my trans if garbage so now I'm looking at what should I do for parts? Can I use the 4.0 trans and transfer or am I wasting my time with this jeep

What?? PUNCTUATION please!!

spark notes:

Can't do t-case SYE kit.
Tranny is junk.

You can do a SYE kit on an NP231J relatively easy, LOTS of kits out there. I believe all Wranglers come with NP231J's. The Puegot tranny behind your engine is a POS though, the AX-15 is a LOT more durable.

The 87 wrangler has the NP207. It is the only year that they did that. You heard correct, a SYE kit is not available for that T-case.

Anywho InsaintyII, I believe the trans and T-case from a 4.0 will work in your Jeep. I would run your current drive train until you have a problem with it. Depending on the type of abuse you are going to subject your Jeep to it may be fine the way it is.
