I have a 258 (4.2) inline 6. My plastic valve cover is cracked and I'm leaking oil. I can't seem to find a replacement. I have done the research and find that apparently in 1987 they used at least 3 different heads on these motors. (Cleaning out the warehouse during bankruptcy?) Some have 11 bolts, others 14 bolts, and mine has only 5. Three on the passenger side and one in front, one in rear. On the drivers the valve cover winds around a row of 5 head bolts with a threaded stud on top. A nut with a flange screws down on the head bolt clamping down on the outer edge of the valve cover.
This is where mine is cracked. I purchased a junk yard aluminum one and nothing matches. Anyone have a suggestion where I can purchase one?
Also, my engine stamp is 608C22. Can't seem to find anything on that either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
