1988 YJ Jeep

Hey guys, new to the Wrangler Forum. I had a 2005 Jeep wrangler before and looking to buy another Jeep. I found a 1988 YJ that has been restored, the motor and transmission has 30K. It has a 9" lift and looks amazing. the price of 10K kind of scares me, just wondering your thoughts on value

I have an 87, with well over 10K into it. But it isn't worth 10K to sell it. In this area it might bring maybe around 5-6K at the most. It is different in other parts of the country. Supply and demand.
'87 YJ, 4.2L built and bored, 8.5" of lift, 8.8 rear, AX15/NP 231, Tom Woods drive shafts, Flat fenders, 12,000LB winch, Custom bumpers, Rattle can paint job. Never completed...

I would never pay that for a jeep that old unless everything, I mean everything, was new on it. Otherwise I'd spend a few grand and buy something I could fix the way I wanted. But I don't trust anyone when it comes to mechanical work.

Jeeps in AZ vary a lot. But I've seen some super sketchy work and people asking way too much. Chicago jeeps seem to be mostly cheaper but rusty as shit. Ya takes your chances.
1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ. 2.5L. Bone Stock, mostly.
